The geographic advantage

Location: the missing link

Many companies turn to Business Intelligence (BI) systems to interrogate their data for more effective company management.

Yet traditional BI systems fail to recognise the significance of location.

Staff, products, assets and customers – each has a fixed or mobile location at any one time. So what if you could plot and track these locations?

You’d reveal their relationship to one other. You’d reveal their relationship to their surroundings. And that would let you pose and answer brand new questions.

For example, you could track complex buying habits of your potential customers. You could pinpoint the most strategic location for a new office, branch or warehouse. You could optimise delivery routes to save money, time and fuel. You could manage people and assets more systematically to reduce overheads.

All of this is possible with geography. With the map as the context you can ‘see the big picture’, identifying patterns, modelling ‘what if’ scenarios and making more informed decisions than ever before.

Geography is the missing link in BI.
